Hugging Birman Cat

Why Foster?

It's an opportunity to discover and work through any behavioral issues, provide training and socialization and allows the cats to adjust prior to adoption. A cat in a foster home helps make room in shelters for other animals. Shelter environments may also be challenging to some pets due to the confinement of a kennel resulting in stress and behavioral issues and possible euthanasia.

Fostering save a lives!

Benefits of Volunteering

Help raise awareness and compassion of feral and stray community cats. Build relationships within the community and to support others. There is a need for volunteers in animal rescue groups and shelters as they cannot function without the help of volunteers. Volunteering your time at least once a week for a couple of hours will help give an animal another chance.

Colony Caretaker

An individual responsible for the health and well-being of feral/stray cat colony. The caretaker provides food, water, and shelter.  They are responsible for humanely trapping and taking the cats to a veterinarian for vaccinations and neuter/spayed (TNR - Trap Neuter and Return).  Feral and stray cats cannot survive on their own as they are domestic animals and depend on us for their survival. Feeding develops a connection between the caretaker and the cats, helps better manage the colony, and maintain the health of the cats.

Becoming a caretaker is a compassionate and selfless act!
